Man City target RB Leipzig’s Diomande and Bournemouth striker Kroupi

RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande and Bournemouth’s Eli Junior Kroupi are on Manchester City’s attacking shortlist, according to Sky Sports.

Diomande is one of Europe’s most exciting wingers. He is Liverpool’s primary target to replace Mohamed Salah, while Bayern Munich are also targeting him.

Kroupi is enjoying a brilliant debut campaign, scoring 11 goals in 29 Premier League matches. He is the first teenager to score at least 10 goals in the competition since the 1999/2000 season.

The French striker has also been linked with Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

City are also considering a move for AC Milan winger Rafael Leao, who could be available for £60 million.

The Cityzens bolstered their attack by signing Antoine Semenyo in January. They may only pursue a forward this summer if there are departures.

Man City likely to prioritise midfield additions

City could be set for a midfield revamp, with uncertainty surrounding the futures of Rodri, Nico Gonzalez and Mateo Kovacic. They have also confirmed Bernardo Silva’s exit this summer.

Man City have made Nottingham Forest ace Elliot Anderson their primary target.

Bayer Leverkusen’s Ibrahim Maza, Hertha Berlin wonderkid Kennet Eichhorn and Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez are also under consideration.

City face competition from Manchester United and Arsenal for Anderson. However, it is now believed that they are in the pole position to sign him.

Anderson has been one of the best midfielders in the English top-flight, impressing with his defensive and ball-playing attributes.

He is expected to play a prominent role for England at this summer’s World Cup.

Anderson is reportedly valued in excess of £100m. He could become City’s most expensive signing if a deal goes through.

The Dallas Cowboys traded up Thursday night, sending two fifth-round picks to Miami to land Ohio State safety Caleb Downs at No. 11 overall.

It cost a little, but based on what one rival said hours later, the NFL may already agree they got their guy.

Even rivals can't pretend the Cowboys didn't just find their cornerstone

Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers faced Downs in college and was asked about the pick on Thursday. Nabers said he would rather have Downs on his team than face him again in the NFC East.

“I’d rather get him than play against him… I gotta play against this thing again… bro he’s good. He’s very good, he’s VERY good.”

Downs arrives as the top safety in this draft class. He won the Jim Thorpe Award in 2025, made two-time All-American, and helped his program win a national championship in 2024.

There was no bigger trophy left in college football for him to collect.

Three seasons split between Alabama and Ohio State produced 257 tackles, six interceptions and 12 pass breakups.

He will become the fourth member of his family to play in the NFL. His older brother, Josh Downs, is a receiver for the Indianapolis Colts.

Jerry Jones told reporters the Cowboys would not risk watching another team jump them for a player they valued that highly, so they paid to make sure of it.

NFC East offenses now see Downs twice a year. Nabers plays for the Giants, which means two of those dates belong to him personally.
